Special Event – Halloween Hike – Big Bear Lake
In 2025, we embarked on the Dark Legends of Big Bear Night Hike, a spine-tingling adventure through the shadows of Big Bear Lake. A guide led this Halloween night hike in Big Bear by lantern light, taking brave souls one mile into the forest, uncovering eerie tales of Big Bear’s dark legends, ghost stories, and even UFO sightings. This 1.5-hour after-dark hike was designed for thrill-seekers aged 12 and up, and offered an intimate experience with groups of up to 12 participants. The hike ran every Friday and Saturday night throughout October, with Friday hikes from 9:00–10:30 p.m., and Saturday hikes at 7:00–8:30 p.m. and 9:00–10:30 p.m.

- Location: Woodland Trail, Big Bear Lake
- Parking: The U.S. Forest Service requires an Adventure Pass for the Woodland Trail parking lot. We provided one for our guests upon arrival.
