A passionate hiker and nature enthusiast, Shauna moved to Big Bear Lake in 2007, drawn by its blue skies, alpine beauty, and endless trails. With over 2,000 miles of Pacific Crest Trail experience and extensive trekking across Yosemite, Zion, and Joshua Tree, she brings expert knowledge and enthusiasm to every hike.
As a certified Wilderness First Responder and member of Bear Valley Search and Rescue, Shauna ensures your safety while sharing insights about Big Bear’s history, flora, and fauna. She’s also an active volunteer with Big Bear Trails and the Pacific Crest Trail Association, dedicated to keeping local trails safe and sustainable.

Requirements for hire
- Must have minimum 3 years of outdoor experience
- Provide proof of personal insurance
- Provide proof of covid vaccination and booster
- Provide current CPR and First Aid cards (or training provided by BBHA)
- Knowledge of local history (suggestions provided by BBHA)
- Knowledge of local flora and fauna (suggestions provided by BBHA)
- Able to perform job requirements (provided by BBHA)
- Follow current Guide Procedures (provided by BBHA).
