People and Places We’re Proud to Recommend

One of the best things about Big Bear isn’t just the mountains, it’s the people who care for them.

Over the years, Shauna has built relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, and organizations that share a love for this community and a commitment to creating great experiences. Whether you’re looking for wellness, outdoor adventures, helpful local resources, or another way to enjoy your time in Big Bear, these are people and places we’re happy to recommend.

Collaborations and Experiences

Creating Something Special Together

Some experiences are better when people bring their different strengths together.

We’re proud to collaborate with local organizations and businesses that help create meaningful, memorable ways to experience Big Bear.

Care For Big Bear

Shauna is proud to serve as President of Care For Big Bear, a local nonprofit dedicated to protecting and preserving the Big Bear Valley through education, stewardship, and community involvement.

Big Bear Hiking Adventures also collaborates with Care For Big Bear on special experiences and community events, including SkyFest, bringing people together to enjoy the mountains while learning more about the place we all share.

For Shauna, caring for Big Bear isn’t separate from sharing it. They’re part of the same commitment: helping people experience these mountains while encouraging them to protect what makes them special.

Indigo Mountain Wellness Center

Nature has a way of helping us slow down. Indigo Mountain Wellness Center takes that feeling one step further.

We’re proud to partner with Indigo for experiences like Mountain Medicine and Moonlight and Mountain Medicine, where guided hiking, massage, and sound healing come together for a truly unique day in the mountains.

We’re grateful to have local people like them who help us share a little more of the Big Bear experience.

Local Businesses We Know and Trust

People Behind the Businesses Matter Too

Big Bear is a small mountain community, and getting to know the people behind local businesses is one of the things that makes being here special.

These are businesses Shauna knows, trusts, and feels comfortable recommending to guests.

Goldsmith’s Sports

Shauna has known the owners of Goldsmith’s for years, both personally and through their work in the Big Bear outdoor community.

Whether you’re looking for snowshoes, hiking gear, or advice before heading out on the trail, Goldsmith’s is a local resource we’re happy to recommend.
