Moonlight & Mountain Medicine
Explore the Night. Pause. Listen.
A guided night hike through the forest with a sound bath along the way, led in collaboration with Indigo Mountain Wellness Center.
A Different Side of Big Bear
There’s a different feeling to being in the forest after dark. The trails you know during the day feel different, the forest gets quieter, and you start paying attention to things you might normally miss.
This is a chance to step onto the trail after dark, see Big Bear from a different perspective, and experience the mountains in a way you don’t get to every day.
More Than A Night Hike
What makes this experience a little different is what happens when we leave the trail for a while.
In the middle of the hike, we’ll lay out our blankets and settle in for a sound bath led by Indigo Mountain Wellness Center. It’s a chance to be still, take a break from the movement of the hike, and simply enjoy being out in the forest at night.
Then we’ll get back on the trail and continue our way through the evening.
It’s a chance to experience the mountains in motion, then experience them in stillness.

What to Expect

Guided Night Hike
Your evening begins with a guided hike through the forest after dark. Led by Shauna and Indigo Mountain’s Gabe, this hike gives you a chance to experience the forest in a way most people never do: after the sun goes down.
As we make our way through the forest, we’ll take time to notice the sights and sounds of the mountains at night. You may hear wildlife moving through the trees, feel the cool evening air, or catch glimpses of the landscape illuminated by moonlight.
This isn’t about getting through the trail. It’s about enjoying the hike, paying attention to what’s around you, and seeing what the forest is like after dark.

Sound Bath Beneath the Stars
Along the way, we’ll pause our hike and settle into a guided sound bath led by Gabe and Dawn of Indigo Mountain Wellness Center.
You’ll have time to get comfortable, listen to the sounds around you, and enjoy a peaceful pause in the middle of the forest.
Then, when the sound bath comes to an end, we’ll gather ourselves and continue our hike through the forest, carrying that sense of calm and connection with us as we make our way back.
