Halloween Hike in Big Bear

The Mountains Get Spookier After Dark

Join us Friday and Saturday nights throughout October for a guided Halloween hike through the forest, with stories, surprises, and the mysterious feeling of the mountains after dark in collaboration with Big Bear Video.

2026 Booking Opens Soon

There’s Something Different About the Forest at Night

During the day, the forest can feel familiar. After dark, everything changes.

The trails get quieter. Shadows stretch between the trees. Sounds seem a little closer. And suddenly, you find yourself paying attention to things you might normally walk right past.

Halloween is a pretty good excuse to experience it.

Each year, we’ll create a Halloween experience that combines the mystery of the forest with stories, surprises, and a few moments you won’t expect.

More Than a Halloween Hike

A Halloween hike should be more than walking through the woods with a flashlight.

It should give you a reason to look a little closer, listen a little more carefully, and experience the forest in a completely different way.

We’re creating this year’s Halloween adventure now, with plans for new surprises and a few familiar favorites along the way.

Whatever the final story becomes, you can expect a guided experience rooted in Big Bear’s forests, local stories, and the feeling of being somewhere a little different after dark.
